WHAT WE DO |
We work to restore wetlands including peatlands, wet meadow, grazing marsh and shallow scrapes. Using heritage breeds to maintain habitats. Creating habitats for waders and small passerines.
|
At the Otter Trust we help protect a wide range of wetland species from extinction, both in the UK and overseas through our Conservation Projects.
Conservation
The Otter Trust prides itself as a organisation informed by and driven by science. We create, maintain and restore habitats through science informed Habitat Management and regionally we help conserve and restore Heritage Breeds.
CONSERVATION PROJECTS We are involved in a number of ground-breaking projects in partnership with environmental and conservation organisations and academic institutions.
|
HABITAT MANAGEMENTHelping to protect species from extinction, maintaining and restoring habitats, enhancing ecosystem services, and protecting biodiversity.
|
HERITAGE BREEDingHeritage Breeds are traditional livestock breeds that were raised by our forefathers. These are the breeds of a bygone era, before industrial agriculture became mainstream practice.
